Ayush Guest House is tucked away in the valley of Balta Badi, only five km from the town of Almora on the Binsar Road. We ask that guests ring us as they arrive at Almora so that they can be met on the main road. They should drive from Almora to Paparsali, heading towards Kasar Devi, on the Binsar Road and stop at Tara’s Store (opposite the arched entrance to Eco-Park), where the porters will be waiting for them. Ayush Guest House is a short ten-to-fifteen minute walk, over the ridge and down into the valley.
The nearest airport for Almora is Pantnagar. The Pantnagar airport is situated about 120 km from Almora, and it takes approximately four hours by taxi to cover the distance. There are taxis are available from the Pantnagar airport to Nainital, Haldwani, and Almora. There are buses are available from Haldwani, Kathgodam, and Nainital to Almora.
Kathgodam is the nearest railway station to Almora, situated at a distance of about 87 km. Kathgodam is well connected with most of the major destinations of India; it is the gateway of Kumaon region. There are buses and taxis available from Kathgodam to Almora. If the guests wish, we can arrange a taxi to pick them up from the railway station at a pre-arranged price.
Almora is well connected by road with the major cities of northern India. The distance from Delhi to Almora is about 365 km, and can be covered in about nine to ten hours of time. Almora can be reached easily by car, taxis, or by bus coaches. If guests wish to travel directly from Delhi to Almora, we can organise a taxi to pick them up from the airport or elsewhere at a pre-arranged price.
